Happy 2018, everyone!

On the heels of so much progress being publicly made in the sexual assault advocacy world, I am certainly looking forward to the year to come.

As we close out 2017, it feels like a fitting time to reflect here on the things I accomplished last year.

I kicked off my first national keynote tour visiting college campuses all across the country. I spoke at multiple conferences to include CPAC, Turning Point’s Young Women’s Leadership Summit, and The Well Armed Woman Summit. Mike and I took the kids on a family trip to Disneyland and got engaged! You could say it was pretty darn great.

Over the summer I stepped outside of my comfort zone and seized the opportunity to spend ten days straight at the Sig Sauer Academy in Epping, New Hampshire. I was incredibly nervous heading in to this challenge because to that point, I’d never received formalized pistol training. I’d been through hunter’s safety, earned my CCW in Colorado, learned from law enforcement friends, and taken instruction from range safety officers–but training at this magnitude was going to be a first.

In just a little over a week’s time, I went from fumbling through loading ammo into a magazine to clearing a live fire shoot house on my own. The instructors, facility, and experience were incredible.

Rain or shine, it's training time!

Now, my story and education at the Sig academy is about to be shared with the entire world.

Premiering in the coming weeks, I’ll host the brand new series”Power to the People”, sponsored by Sig Sauer on NRA TV. Watch for full episode links here and on my social media channels.
